NYC Bound!

Today was the beginning of our family Xmas gift! Using our American Airlines miles, we were able to fly all 6 of us here to Gotham. We have a suite in an … um… “vintage” hotel just off Broadway. Our flight got us here at around 8:30 a.m., so we had the full day to investigate.

The first thing we did is head to the discount ticket building to decide what show to catch. We settled for a Sunday matinee of Chicago! I am psyched. After that little outing we wandered all over Manhattan, walking somewhere between 6 and 10 miles, depending on whose fitness watch you trust!

Other possible agenda items: museums (most likely Natural History), hockey or basketball at Madison Square Garden, shopping, and food. Lots and lots of food! (He says as he eyeballs the sheep’s milk cannoli.)

Wow, is it amazing to have the whole family together for the little trip! It’s becoming less and less common every year as the kids all become adults. I have learned to really cherish this time.

Two more days and I have every intention of enjoying every single minute!
